I dont know anyone who listens to radio one :p its all Rock FM and The Bee, though I dont mind radio 1 sometimes if theyre too busy yapping on the others.

But when you are off to flood the Nazi armaments factories the odd racial slur doesn't matter ... Thing is, when the movie first came out, the dog's name probably passed unnoticed, or if it was noticed, no one thought it racist. Maybe we can deconstruct the movie around "Nigger" the dog, and see the film as the last gasp of British Imperial Power ironically spending itself on the crushing of a rascist state. Some aspiring Ph.D. student could make a name for herself with that one:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Surely the dog was called Nigger in an affectionate way and so cant really be seen as being racist. After all, a name is just a name. Some people call their little girls Fanny, or their little boys Dick, should we just take it to mean the first thing we associate it with. I think we should be open minded about things like that.

just pointing out the fact that all the folks crying and whinging about the words to a song being censored are in all probability the same ones who would never use and raise holy hell if the dogs name was being used in any context .

I don't think I was being serious ... although there is a thesis in the deconstructionist idea. Maybe if I get my self a cute little pot-bellied pig I could call it Moh .... oops, better quit while I am more or less ahead:D:D:D

I knew what the dog was called, just couldn't believe they would edit it out. It's silly. You can't change history.
