Lots of support and some advice but not one single offer of a room for a few weeks.

Surely someone must have a spare bedroom?

You lot should be thoroughly ashamed of yourselves.

If you need transport to get about to sort something out I will provide it.

You can ring me on 704588.

I’ve only got a 2 roomed flat but I’m willing to share that rather than have you on the street.

Why must they? And people have offered help in other ways than a roof over her head and any help is help so dont have a go at the others users for not offering what you have as they are entitled to offer what they feel they can NOT what you think they can, and at least these people have offered help none of them needed to reply so shut up and stop trying to put others down and make yourself out to be fantastic.

There are people who offered help jambutty, and they didn't do it here, emma has parted company with her fella, good idea to let him know where she may go eh? Others have no room, we have 2 bedrooms and kids, oh, hang on, what about the shed? Read the posts again jb, there is loads of public help given here, and I dare say twice as much given privately away from here, and when all is said and done, emma and her boy won't be on the street in any event. Finally, most of the people here know emma from here, not in person, you are suggesting that people should let virtual strangers into thier home. Get a grip jb, and if emma takes you up on your suprimely kind offer, feel free to post it here so that her ex knows exactly where to find her!

Aleks, jambutty is just putting his point forward....and to be fair he has offered the lass a place to stay so I don't think it is fair to belittle his actions.

I'm sure if anyone else on here had had the facilities available to offer Emma a place to stay, then i think they would have done it privately, through a Pm or via Mick and a phone call.

I hope the lass gets sorted........I know that if I were able to offer her and her little lad a place I would have done so.

Well said Derek, you are completely right in what you are saying. I dont think anyone wants to see her homeless, but at the end of the day, alot of us have never met her in person, and have kids to consider. I am one of the many that has sent a pm, so lets hope she gets sorted quickly!

Not belittling them at all i dont agree with however the way he seem to slag off the people who have offered help.

Re: bye all

I have read the posts derekgas and out of the first 19 posts there was only one with some useful information. The rest were nothing more than sympathetic words, which are a fat load of use when you are homeless.

What that lass needs is a place to stay NOW whilst she gets her head around the problem.

I hope that you were furious derekgas – with yourself and others for not offering practical help.

I am thoroughly disgusted with the attitude of some people. “She’s a stranger, I haven’t got room, I have kids too”. It’s all me, me, me, me, me, me, me! Where is your compassion for someone in dire need?

So you haven’t got a spare bedroom. Would it be so inconvenient to offer your couch for tonight? Oh! I forgot that would interfere with your home life. Well let it interfere. It’s only for a day or two.

You lot are the pits!!!

Re: bye all

OK let's get this straight. At first she was asking for somewhere to rent IN THE SANDY LANE AREA. I specifically asked if it HAD to be in the Sandy Lane area as we are a long way from there and so looking for somewhere around here for her might not have been what she wanted, and her reply was YES it was Sandy Lane area she wanted so she could walk her son to school up there.

Now correct me if I'm wrong but Darwen is a heck of a long way from Sandy Lane.

At that time she gave no indication that she was being chucked out and that a room in someone's house would suffice - by the time she did so it was too late.

It is grossly unfair for you to condemn people out of hand in the way you did.

I am satisfied that emma (and her little boy) will not be on the street jb, and mainly because the offers of a couch, or a bed etc were not made in public, but in private, you as usual jb, jumped the gun, and had a go at people when there was very little to have a go about, you were wrong, not I or anyone else, we all know, you could never admit that, but would much rather try and excuse your own actions by ridiculing everybody else. And you 'lot' are the 'pits' is a bit of a generalisation, I will not be the only one to resent that, now if you are so concerned about people who DO NOT have a roof over there head, there is plenty of people in the subways, cardboard boxes, park benches etc around the country who MIGHT like to live with you, but don't be too sure that ANYBODY would be that desperate, god forbid that anyone should be so desperate.
