He'll call you keetah, young man, and you'd better get used to the idea.

(Just as I'm getting used to the idea you're a girl, called Lisa.):D

Re: Do people feel funny about others using their real names?

my old general manager used to say to me how come everyone u meet u automatically reduce their name and call em something else eg Liz instead of elizabeth etc and how they might not like it

i now know the answer - cause i wanted to be more superior than them.

so from here on forth i shall rename all accyweb members cause i'm superior. no one shall be their usual name now.

YOU WILL RESPECT MY AUTHORITYYYYYYYY!!

Well I call him JB out of affection even if everyone else thinks he's a bum hole. You're all so unfair to JB. He only tries to express his opinions and you just make him feel really small an unloved.

Funnily enough though that's how he makes me feel too so you can pick on him all you like for all I care.

Sorry, so very late to these threads!:(

However, I am very uncomfortable with people having any inkling of my real name. I am quite content with people knowing as little about my private /personal life as possible. I fear visits and retribution.

Hugs and Kisses,

Brian Edward Atkin (but pronounced: Throat Warbler Mangrove)
9215 Smokey Mountain Lane
Culpeper, Virginia
Wife: Cynthia Rose (Briggs) Atkin
Daughter: Annie Victoria Atkin (18 years old)
Son: Joshua James Atkin (15 years old)
2 dogs, 3 cats, 2 dwarf hamsters with babies, 4 painted tutles,
9 guineas, 18 chickens, too many fish

But shhhhhhh, don't tell any strangers!:p

Re: Do people feel funny about others using their real names?

I signed myself in as West Ender as it seemed appropriate at the time. As I left the Accrington area 45 years ago there seemed small chance anyone would know me anyway.

Anyway my name is Cath (short for Catherine but I've never been called by my full name) and I'm quite happy to be called by my name, my pseudonym or, well, anything so long as it's decent.
