It doesn't make people lazy either just because they are not able to do something you find easy. Perhaps one day you too will find walking more difficult. I used to think nothing of walking to and from work every day when I worked in Church and Clayton, and half way when I worked in Rishton. Why half way? I got the bus to Clayton and that was as far as it went. There was no Hyndburn Circular in those days so I walked from the Load of Mischief to Rishton and that was quite a pull up past the paper mill.

I couldn't do it now though and wouldn't dream of calling anyone else lazy if they can't manage it either.

80p from Huncoat to town? Crikey it's 95p from town to top of Ormerod Street! If there's 3 of us a taxi is only 15p more.

i used to get a bus to work in great harwood, the bus used to stop and the driver would read his paper for 5 mins in clayton which led to the bus eventualy landing at great harwood at 05.58am leaving me 2 mins to get to work

i asked the driver why he stopped at clayton and he said so that he didnt arrive early in great harwood even though we pointed out to him that we started work at 6am

eventualy me and the other bloke who worked with me were sacked for been late

since then public transport has been a big no no for me simply because if the buses arnt late , filthy or stink of pee the drivers are usualy arrogant idiots

no offence to the few decent ones;)

well the simple answer to that would have been............get an earlier bus ;) they have to be at certain stops at certain times

Was there an earlier bus though? Maybe that was the earliest one.
