Of course the teacher is in the right... if you were supposed to be at your job at 09.40 but it was known you were down the cafe and your manager came to challenge you... would you question your manager or get the sack???
oh "and edit"..Jambutty!..you were in the Navy..would you stick up for your rights to turn up for duty whenever you felt like doing?.. I doubt it! |

Hey ... this is still going strong, and here I sit still not knowing what a "butty" shop is .... (altho' I know what a butty is, and like them with chips and hp). But at least this thread has given some well-deserved fame to the legendary Sam Wignall ... Google Sam Wignall and it directs you to this thread ... Way to go Sam ... "Oi, laddie, cap" is now immortal:alright:

Re: Don't bug me teacher, eating me breakfast.
I thought so .... now, what the hell do you guys put on the butties .... traditional fare, New York deli specials, Montreal smoked meat (yeah) or black pudding, .... do you get jam butties for dessert? It was breakfast time; so would the miscreants be eating bacon butties?
|
Re: Don't bug me teacher, eating me breakfast.
Bacon butties seem quite likely at that time of day.

where did you get that pic of my breakfast from?

Re: Don't bug me teacher, eating me breakfast.
When I was still working we had a sandwich shop about 50 yards from our office. Every morning at 9 o clock a young colleague used to take orders and phone them through to the shop. He would go and collect them about 15 minutes later. The shop provided bacon, sausage or egg sarnies (or any combination) along with lots of other typical Deli sandwich types and also buttered toast.
I miss my bacon barm, since I retired, but it's a bit too far to go for breakfast. :) |
