what do you have to do to get what you want?
Well there i was today minding my own business when out of nowhere i heard
"psst... come here" i looked around and found the voice to be coming from an antiques shop "yeah you ....psst .... quick come here" after a while i realized that this was the same thing us women hear when a nice pair of shoes has just been put onto the sale shelves.... no shoes to be seen but a gorgeous old partners desk from george v period this may seem sad but i love grotty old banged up (ahem) furniture and i wanted it i rang the other half and offfered just about everything but my life but he would not see any sense at all - we had no room to put it :( ... aparently- so he's going to be on the wagon for a while if you know what i mean ;) so what kind of things do you offer to get what you want (maybe i should have put this in the over 18's) lol |

Never do anything out of the ordinary to get what I want, nor does my better half. If the cash is there and either of us want summat we just get it.
Aint any pockets in a shroud ;) |

mm it was more the room in the house - i suggested selling the dining room table we already have - but no ... he might get fedup of my moaning eh ?

Just keep on about it till he crumbles, like BB and his lovely lady my late hubby and I got things if we could afford if not tough we had to go without.

If I tell Busman about something I would like to buy he says "You have to ask yourself two questions..........." this being a quote from a talk a friend once gave and which he has never forgotten although the friend who gave it quite possibly has. The two questions are "Can I afford it?" and "Do I really need it?" - if the answer to both is "yes" then we buy it. If the answer to either one is "no" then we don't.

I think my fella has learnt quickly that there is no point arguing if ive got my heart set on something!;)
It leads to a quiet life for him so i think hes happy!! |
