as most older people who smoked were conned by advertising back in the day, that smoking was fashionable n cool, without being aware of the dangers, yet the tobacco companies knew but suppressed the information,that makes yer comment ignorant drivel n will give you the benifit of the doubt, that you dont know any better, although someone like you may dispute that.:tongueout

Ive been a non smoker all my life and people smoking has never botherd me, but some people, tell smokers, its a disgustig habbit, yea its bad for you,

I'm just amazed (not) that all pubs and clubs aren't heaving.

All the non-smokers, who said they'd go into pubs if there was a smoking ban, are still nowhere to be seen.:rolleyes:

Didnt get to finish, But some people are down right rude to smokers, overnight its become disgusting, I think picking your bum, spitting, picking your nose is disgusting, In the grand scheme of things its not really disgusting, pretty soon haveing more than 3 or 4 drinks will be considered the same, FARTING in public will be band , let alone lighting it.

Actually, no I dont smoke - never have, I do not drin tea or coffe and avoid painkillers whenever possible . But I do feel you have totally missed the point here,a chemical addiction is caused by an addictive substance. Nicotine is one such. In the majority of people alcohol is not addictive other than on a psychological level.
Nicotine is addictive in the same way as say cocaine and I do feel that if people faced up to this and accepted the cigarettes are an addictive substance and their users addicts society might finally be able to ge them the help they need, but of course they must want to be helped

think you have missed the point, many people do want n try to stop smoking, as i have on numerous occasions, after losing me Mum,Dad,Wife, to cancer, all were heavy smokers,what people don't need is self opinionated, perfect, people calling em druggies.:(
