It's a wrap ... and now the fun begins .... even those who don't support Obama must be glad to see the end of GWB. And even tho' he didn't win, John McCain, after serving his country for over 50 years, proved, in his concession speech, that he is a class act.

This victory is one that I never thought that I would see in my lifetime. When I was born, they were still lynching blacks in Mississippi.

agree completely, i never thought i would see the day, fer me it was n Anti-Bush vote in the main got him elected, though honestly think he was the choice of the two candidates, the good ole US of A will certainly not be as widely despised worldwide now n that can only be a good thing.;)

I've been getting some jokes too. I don't know if it is a feature of human creativity, or just that we are a bunch of sickos. I can well remember that the burning wreckage of the space shuttle had barely reached the ground before people were "joking" that NASA stood for "need another seven astronauts.

I did check out some of the white supremacist web sites, and there is stuff on them that is real scary. And these guys are not joking.

What a stupid post....I am more British (English) than you will ever be.
My family have to endure this Government of the day through thick and thin and it's a joke to think that someone who probably has never been out of Clayton has the audasity to criticise.

I have accepted the Queens Shilling, I have paid my dues and demands. I choose to live in Spain...which is my right.
I am born and bread in England....which is recorded.
If you have been out of Clayton really is of no concern but don't think for one minute that I would pledge my allegence to any other country but my own....you would be sadly mistaken.

I don't have any problem with wherever you choose to live, as you say it is your right and I have never implied that you have pledged your alliegence to any other country.

However, as you have now chosen to reside in Spain (which you have infered in previous posts is a much better place to live than UK), I presume you are now paying your dues and demands to the Spainish government.

As someone who is still paying both Income Tax and Council Tax in the UK (and have done so for over 40 years) I feel that I am more qualified than you to make comments about the affairs of the UK, as you are no longer resident in the UK.

By the way, has your wife had any trouble with her bank recently.

I started paying tax at fifteen until I retired at age 65 which makes 50 years.
I am paying my dues and demands in Spain and am still paying tax in the UK.
God you have a lot to learn even at your age.
My wife can sign a cheque for more than you would ever imagine.
