A little.

Mainly the evolution of a backbone.

Whilst others remain spineless.;)

You'll love it, if the nurse can find time to read it to you.:D

I think I will wait for the movie version ... plowing (I don't think that is the English spelling, but it works for me;)) thru 3.5 billion years of family trees is a chore for more lumberjacks than we have in Canada:D ... and we have a whole bunch:eek:

Come to think of it, I might still be alive in 2028 ... at the ripe young age of 83:dancedog:

Well as it was a public forum, it isn't a little secret. Just reminding you that even in that posting, (when the majority of other people who posted were attempting to give your wife advice about the problem - and which would probably have resulted in the fee being waived), you knew it all.

Thanks for the negative Karma, I regard it as a compliment.

OK.....Been a bit busy looking after affairs that concern nobody but me.
The majority of other people as you call them, including you gave advise which, was either irrelevant, out of context or down right stupid.
The matter was resolved and the fee was waived by my endeavours not by any of the suggestions or advice from my so called peers.
I did give you a red card....that was the first..and probably the last I will ever give because you chose to insult my wife without knowing the full facts.

The full facts, as I recall, about your wife, were stated by yourself - in fact it was the reason why you started that particular thread. I know that several people suggested to you that if you contacted the bank concerned they would probably waive the fee. I also remember you being advised to apply for an overdraft facility to make sure the problem did not happen again, but you said you were not prepared to pay a monthly fee for that, despite being politely informed (by several people) that the bank in question does not charge a monthly fee for an overdraft and only charges debit interest for the days that you use the facility.

From reading your posts over the years, I can only conclude that unless everyone agrees with you, you always insult them. My posting about annexing Spain was posted as a jest but you you do not appear to have a sense of humour.

I have insulted nobody...again your post is ill advised and irrelevant.

Er...okay, if you insist. Though it is all there in the thread.

I made a joke that I was descended from this island's first primeval swamp slime, and therefore 'very British'.

Jambutty joked that not much had changed.

I replied that some change has happened, and that some have evolved a backbone, making reference to the evolution of the species, i.e. the move from water to land, whilst others remain as a more primitive life force.

A double entendre could also be hinted at, with backbone and spineless meaning courage and moral cowardice.

I'm sure everyone else understood, but if there's anything else you need clarified please feel free to pm me for a full and very unfunny explanation.:)
