Political Photo Shoots

Many of our political leaders both local and MP's spend a hell of a lot of time posing in front of the camera to make them feel good or look good.
If someone makes a speach that makes the headlines and sounds good he or she has won a do.
What about the one's who drop a right clanger?
Let us know of your experience that irk's you most?
The false smile on Hazel Blears gets right up my nose.

I'd love to contribute to the thread, but have no idea what it's about.

I feel as if I've entered a parallel universe.

One without the demon drink.

If the thread goes over your head leave it to someone who does understand. We are not all as intellectual as you....god forbid.
If you want it spelt out word for word I will be happy to do so.
I am going to bed now...you can leave all the clap trap that you want.....I will either respond to it or ignore it, as I usually do.
Captain Morgan Rum is bloody good, gives you inspiration to defend yourself against a pain in the arse......Goodnight Noddy :)

Is it about how politics is all image based? There can never be a bald P.M. /Kennedy beat Nixon because he shaved moments before that crucial televised head to head, and therefore looked more trust worthy, and less like his shifty swarthy opponent, that sort of thing?

Is it about great orators?

Is it a slag off Hazel Blears thead?

Is it about the worst/funniest political speeches ever made?

'Posing to look good'? Is it all about ego...when you only have a small one?

I think it's a thread designed to have us slagging politicians in general.

George Osborne and Peter Mandelson get on my boobs. Maybe it’s just their face but they both always seem to look so damned smug in any given photo :camera8:

There's a Ladybird book about military history, which mentions Garinda Tactics, which you may find enlightening.

There are pretty pictures in it too.;)

Since he dropped out of front line politics, I like listening to Tony Benn, I know we are totally opposites politically, but he does put his point over in a very forceful way without being over barring politically

Where did you up with that little gem....If I want to 'slag off' a politician I would do it. As for Franco making pizzas? he was too busy trying to get into bed with Hitler. :)

He also gave onions to my wife even after she said she was allergic to them and made her ill. There is a sad irony in that.

The pasta in it's fancy sauce was burnt and encrusted to the dish the last time he cooked for me.

But he was very pleasant as an employer according to my daughter while she worked for him.
