9.40am is fine. As the great Jimmy Buffett said, it's five o'clock somewhere :D

As a non drinker I think its always too soon for a drink of any alcohol. Don't see the point in it myself. Why alter your state of concienceness?

I love a little drink after a night shift, usually about 9am. A small glass of something just to put me to sleep. Failing that, a draught of Night Nurse does the trick too..:D

It does release inhibitions .... but if you have none to release the result is disastrous:eek:

have never really enjoyed drinking in 'daylight hours' , bit like coming out of the cinema and its still daylight , just doesnt seem right, but thats just me .;)
If someone is working graveyard shift (nights) I dont think there is anything wrong with it , providing any kids in the house are off to school , the idea of kids eating their cornflakes whilst Dad/Mum are chug-a-lugging a beer is a bit out of line to my mind

I hope it was a decent malt and not some firewater like Bell's.

If you ever feel the need to dry out, try spending a summer in the High Arctic;)

I can see the point of drinking at that time of day if you are on lates although 9 - 5 people will be a little confused. My old Grand dad always sucked a Fisherman's Friend before he went to bed and he lived to a ripe old age.

I wondered why people were staring at me at half seven in the morning while out with the dogs and a can of ale in my hand
