How early is too early for a drink?

As I sit here drinking a nice whiskey at 9.40am I was just wondering what time you all think is too early for a drink?

When i used to work the night shift there was a pub that got a special licence to open at 7 am so we could go for a pint after work

Doesn't it have something to do with the sun and the yard arm?

I have one at 7am when I've been on nights. having one when you get out of bed is too early not one before you go to bed :-)

The most useful aspect of worldwide time zones is that it's always happy hour somewhere... :)

yep, depends on your shift. 9:40 am when you've just finished work is like 5pm to traditional 9-5ers.
