Re: swine fever.
Let me try...................Get back on here you silly old sod.
You have had a go at me many times and I have responded. I have had a go at you many times and you have responded. This is a forum of many differing ideas and I hope it is used to bounce ideas off each other. Politics rases it's ugly head now and again but there are people on both sides of the watering hole and the debate is levelled. There are people you can trust not to let you down and there are people who would shout you down, I have had experience of both. I dont like being called 'Victor Meldrew' and I don't suppose Garinda likes being called 'The Prince of Clowns.' I call you a silly old sod with the greatest of respect, I am old and perhaps not as silly as some claim me to be and the same applies to you. Stick to your guns if you have to....I remember as a kid using Senna Pods as an alternative medicine instead of chocolate laxative, and I vote for Senna Pods every time. :D |

Re: swine fever.
I've no problem with MargaretR's posts.
They're her views, and she's entitled to them, just as we all are. I've never found them preachy or nasty. Half the time they make me laugh. Her becoming dizzy from the fumes of the Yankee Candle's synthetic perfume in the Bubble Factory, and then having to recover outside with a roll up fag...a healthy one of course.:D |

One thread, thanking Cllr. Britcliffe for his professional help, does not, I think, make me his champion. Personally I think some of the countless threads I've started, highly critical of some of his policy decisions, may have inspired the remark in the local press that this forum was filled with 'vile and vicious attacks' against him. I do think I deserve at least a little credit.;) |

Re: swine fever.
Anyone who could possibly give myself as an example of someone who rushes to the defence of Peter Britcliffe on this forum, when I've probably been his fiercest critic on here, has probably more pressing need to worry about dementia, rather than the latest strain of flu.;)

There I was this morning, sat at the back of the door, eagerly waiting for the Postie bringing my leaflet on how to handle the Swine Flu, and guess what, it didn't arrive, now what am I going to do:help::s_sick::drink::D
