I think we've mentioned this elsewhere but has anybody else noticed that MPs never ever mention "Benefit Cheats" since the expenses scandal

Benefit cheats can be fined, or imprisoned, it infuriates me that mp's are not only brought to book, but often get put in another highly paid position, or retired on a fortune of a pension!

It also infuriates me that the people that employ 'benefit cheats' never seem to be prosecuted, the person tempted to work for very little money to keep his/her family together get the full force of the law, the person employing them, moves on and offers the same deal to someone else, still evading taxes!

I remember this conversation, and it really is bad that they don't get prosecuted too!

Those that claimed for mortgage payments that had been paid off and other such things should be prosecuted.

Those "within the rules" should not IMHO

Just reading on Ceefax Neil that MPs are unlikely to face criminal charges according to the MET, Think I'll rob a bank tomorrow but I'll do it within the rules:D

bad idea

the banks dont have any money

its all tied up in MP'S houses and off shore bank accounts

that duck island one mp claimed for in his garden is probably listed as an off shore independant state and has a banking structure for MP's to evade tax on lol

Sorry Neil, this was in reference to Less's comment on the people employing benefit cheats. They should be prosecuted too, not just the person on benefits
