Did the Conservatives lie, before the election.

As post election, they don't exactly seem to be 'Tough on crime. Tough on the causes of crime'.

Hardly seems to be encouraging respect for our upholders of the law, when you can now call a policeman every name under the sun, without fear of even the slightest tap on the wrist.

I know what you mean, look at this driver in the outside lane towing a trailer at about 90mph, how do I know, I was doing over 80 and he passed me.

What about that stupid idea by a Darwen Cllr to allow not violent criminals to buy a shorter sentence?

I hope you weren't driving when you took that.

Must have been a left-hand drive car, right?

Otherwise they might decide to get tough after all, and prosecute you, for using a mobile whilst driving.

:D

Discussed this with my mum today, over lunch.

The stupidity of some people is quite astounding.

Yes, you can use all the dosh, you've aquired through committing crimes, and use it to buy less time in the clink.

Mind you, it'd have to be a very serious crime nowadays, even to warrant a custodial sentence.

The Mail had a fuller story, but the Sun had a funnier take on it.

:D

Though I could have had my pick of all the newspapers. As thankfully this ludicrous change in the law has been widely reported.

They you go again assuming the worst of everyone.

I just witnessed a crime. 2 kids just stole the string LCC have laid out so they can lay the cobbles level at the top of the street. These 2 kids were just dropped off at the gate, went for a walk around the park then left again and stole it as they left the park. i wonder what they were really looking for, maybe checking if the cobbles were loose still

You might laugh but if thats the way kids are brought up what will they be doing when they are older?

Sounds like it's gypo kids who've swiped the string;they'll have run off to their dads with it in order they can measure up the amount of cobbles they'll be nicking over the next night or so. The same cobbles will probably be laid on the driveway of some London detached des-res within the next week.
