We are discussing local politics here - different ball game - though national policies (by way of grants) can influence how some local decisions are made.

What makes me laugh is that Cllr Britcliffe complained he wasn't get enough money from the Labour Government towards regeneration etc, yet now, when the budget was cut completely by the coalition, and he was given no government money, he blames the Labour government for overspending. So, they either overspent, or didn't give him enough...which is it??
