If it helps with the year Cliff and the Shadows ( Drifters) kept on singing Living Doll While I was attempting to break my neck roller skating.:D:D

I came second in the Junior Miss Middleton contest 1952.
I'm not looking for a toyboy, but it is nice of you to consider such an offer if I had made it.:dummy:

I remember going to Middleton Towers, I must ave been 8 years old, me and my brothers had a great time, I remember sailing little boats in a pool? I don't know if that was part of Middleton Towers or into Morecambe. I think my dad said it used to be a Prisoner of War camp?

"Living Doll" always reminds me of a holiday in Scarborough, 1959, I was only talking about it to one of my brothers the other day

I think I'm right in saying that Middleton Towers was designed by a German bloke in the mid-50's; the same bloke who designed Auschwitz in the early 1940's. The aerial view certainly looks very similar.

Just out of interest, Cashy, do you remember the colour of the lampshades in your hut? Yellow/Pink by any chance?
