Had a light dusting here yesterday, but down the road in Munster they had about a half inch yesterday evening & it was trying again today, just about right for the start of the Christmas Markets. :)

Didn't realise you lived near Munster..dont know the place..but love the Cheese, one of me fav's! Once stunk a Train Carriage out when i brought some back to Accy from a well known cheese mongers in London...i was not a popular travel companion!

Hope the snow dont come next weekend, i'm off to Benidorm for a few days, flying from Blackpool, so i'll keep me fingers crossed!

Oh well thats good news then, I'm bringing my lad up, just for a few days in April , do you know of any good Indian or Chinese Restaurants in or near Saltcoats that are Wheelchair Accessible, and are there any good places that would serve good, traditional Scottish grub too..again...needs to be Wheelchair accessible? OH yes it snowed up here too in ossy .........& im off on a 5 day jaunt tommorrow guess where!!!!! yes scotland :cool: the land of heavy snow:( staying at a hotel on the lakeside of loch AWE ah well its only snow i'll enjoy it no matter what the weather.:eek:

its a ghost town now no shops no jobs just the ferry to arran and a small marina
Clyde Marina, located on the river clyde west coast of Scotland the brown building is cecchinis restraunt in the background..the beach is still the same but empty

It has been snowing here on and off all day - talked to one of the locals - he cannot remember snow in November in the last 50 years.

Is the Indian on the shorefront in Ardrossan, or is it the Star of India in Largs...i've just googled the area, & that one comes up in a few reviews? Do you know if its possible to drive around Arran in the one day, & are there any main towns...i believe Brodick is near where the ferry lands...that would be suitable for someone in a wheelchair, to spend an hour or so in, & maybe get a bite to eat!

Yep you could drive around Arran in a day it only has two roads one around the outside of the island and one across the middle Brodick is the main town so should be alright for you.

One good thing we are on gas card and electric key meters with British gas
they have sent me 2 units so i can now add credit to the meters online so don't need to go to the shops for that
just waiting for my USB Tap from the Railway and i can download larger too:D

As far as i know Neil you have to have both gas and electric with British gas to get them not sure if other company's do them
the units i got look nothing like the one in the photo
i got 2 separate units one for gas card and one for electric key both work fine and have used them to put credit on both

Depends on your circumstances and the rate you are charged.I'm on the Essentials rate, supposed to be 6% lower than the Standard rate.:confused::)

One of the gripes recently, which is causing the review of fuel companys practices, is the discounts given to 'on-line tariffs'. I am on one of those.
I get a cheaper rate for dual fuel, direct debit, paperless billing, and providing my meter readings.

I have read that its not as cheap as you may think.

I looked into this 'essentials rate' in case I am missing out on something.
From what I read, I deduce that it was a lower rate available to benefit claimants only,
Entitlement to a range of Government benefits such as Pension Credit, Disability Living Allowance or Child Tax Credit, will act as the qualifying criteria.
and can no longer be applied for.

Since I was looking, I did a price comparison at two sites, and was glad I did.
I have changed supplier yet again and was just in time to collect a £100 credit (special offer expires tomorrow) in addition to a £70 annual saving, and a '£40 off' offer from Virgin wines.

I have to be in Burnley in the morning, so I thought I would check the weather forecast for tomorrow on the Telegraph Website. It shows light snow for Burnley and Blackburn and most other places it would seem in Lancashire,but not here in Accrington. I just don't understand that, how can you have snow in say Burnley and Blackburn and not here.
