What is it with you people? Why must you take every opportunity that comes along to deride those that only sought to carry out their duties with the utmost honesty and integrity. I remain proud of my years with the Lancashire Constabulary during which time I received three commendations and a Liverpool Shipwreck and Humane Society Diploma for saving a child from drowning. If you are content to put down those whose only wish was to serve their community, then you are much lesser people than I previously gave you credit for.

Why not just say you were a bobby?

Rather than your worked involved being spat on etc?

With your powers of deduction, re: being able to spot an unemployed person at ten paces, I bet you made detective pretty sharpish.

By the way, I do know you were never in the Sex Pistols.

Well, what it is with this person is, having served before the Mast, then becoming a 'civvy', the world doesn't owe me anything so I don't go on about it, I'm now an ordinary pleb, just like you.

You really do put yourself above others don't you?

You did a job, the good times will have ruled out most of the bad, if not, then you take it on the chin, because like many of my friends in various forces, they had too. But they don't blame the world and everyone in it.
