I got mine today - I haven't opened it yet.
I have looked on line, and IF I decide to fill it in I will do it on line.

There is a body of resistance brewing both to the intrusive nature of the questions and the weapons dealer yankee company who has been given the job.

Some forums are coming up with novel ways to avoid answering.
This one is amusing :D

A friend of mine has a different approach:

Good people - I draw your attention to the Declaration:-

"This questionnaire has been completed to the best of my knowledge and belief."

...Now read it again - slowly.

Nowhere does it mention 'accurately' , 'factually' , 'honestly' nor 'truthfully'. In fact all it does is declare that you believe the form to have been completed. I intend to have fun with this.

Once you acknowledge that subjective 'belief' is acceptable then the whole thing is wide open. Religion has been getting away with the 'belief' defence for all of history.

Whoever drafted the form should be taken to task because it should have read "This questionnaire has been completed truthfully and accurately to the best of my knowledge." then the line "You could face a fine if you do not participate or provide false information." would have some meaning.

I believe that the occupier of this house was orbiting Jupiter on a hoverboard on the day of the census.

I'm sure you do that regularly not just on census day.

I had the misfortune of reading the last 3 posts - I had not correctly reset all my profile preferences on my return here.
I had avoided this forum for two weeks precicely because of remarks like those made.
The italic blue portion was a humourous entry I found on another forum - if you are too dim to see that I have no desire to enlighten you. - stay ignorant - and ignored again (both of you)

I know it was humorous, Jaysay knows it was humorous, our replies were humorous, if you are too dim to see that, stay bitter & twisted, then go off & sulk again. (the one of you).

Re: 2011 Census

Perhaps that person is going to be out of the country on the 27th of March.
A couple of my friends leave for a three month visit to their son in Australia, they sought advice about what to do with their census form, and were told to fill it in and post it before they go.
Also, you can fill in your census online right now. If they didn't want you to do it then they wouldn't activate the website to do this until the 27th of March.

If you already know the information is going to be correct on that date, I don't see what the problem is in filling it in early.

The vast majority of us live lives of habit and not much will change between now and then........even if we win the lottery!

The cost of this census is variously described as between £450,000,000 and £480,000,000.
