So simple that the Country has been left with such a huge deficit ! I'm not right bright but I know that if I haven't got it I can't spend it & if I borrow I have to pay it back which leaves me with less sponnies next time round. So if I do the same continually without my income increasing I'm pretty sure at some point I'm going to be sat with negative equity ! Like I say I'm not right bright & don't have all kinds of titles & letters after my name ...........

But then again, I'm not after getting peoples votes am I ?

Yes we probably will, with a liability of up to £4.4 billion, under the terms of the bail out agreement signed up to by Alistair Darling while the last lot of incompetents were in power.

Which, in this case you seem to have forgotten has been superseded by the "treaty of Lisbon". According to a certain Mr McBroon the changes & alterations were so negligible that a referendum on its acceptance was seen as unnecessary despite being promised otherwise ! You really don't give up do you ?

Just to refresh your memory (from one of your favourite oracles by the way) not only did he sign the UK up to all the updated EU lunacy, he went skulking in there late to boot.

Cmon, I think you will find that Maggie was not too keen on joining Europe, it was her successor John Major who signed the Maastricht treaty. In fact she negotiated a rebate on the money we give towards the EU budget.
Still never let the facts get in the way of a good story.

Are you telling me that your beloved Labour Party wouldn't have signed the treaty? And that doesn't excuse the fact that Darling signed us up to this ludicrous commitment to bale out other countries in a doomed attempt to protect the Euro. Who'll be the next country asking for a bail out?...Spain?

Don't try and make out there's some sort of difference between the major parties on this issue, because it won't wash. When it comes to Europe, both the Labour and Tory lot are the same. They're both pro-EU, despite the cost to the British taxpayer and the loss of our sovereignty. Any promises on a referendum are just empty words because they know the British public can't be relied on to give the "correct" answer.

Re: double dip

countries need money in their economy, with all the cuts and its going to mean less tax revenue more paid out in benefits = a black hole less money in the economy vat rises are not the answer as that means less money in the economy..
