The only time i ever drank Whisky (no E!) was one New Year's Eve (sorry that should read Hogmannay) in Edinburgh many moons ago. Wonderful evening -torchlit procession and Celtic fire festival, Fireworks and it was "Brass monkeys " weather - didn't get drunk but I really didn't feel the cold!

A bar-tender told me that after 3 Whiskies if you drink a glass of water you won't know the difference -still tastes like Whisky -I tried it and he was right!:D

Amazing how someone can pay so much for a bottle of Whisky.

It's meant to be kept there as an investment too and probably will never be drunk!

At least the money has gone to a charity though...

He would have invited us to the party if it was him Sue -given that the world -ie the Euro as we know, it is about to end....:D

Plus he knows a relatively economical bottle of "Champers" would have left him more Whisky if I came to the party....;):D
