Hypocricy, Bluster and Spherical objects

Well you've got to laugh, haven't you. It's either that or advancing en masse on the House of Commons brandishing pitchforks and blazing torches.

On December 29th 2011, our worthy and much respected MP managed to find time from his busy schedule to make the following post in the thread concerning Willow Mount WMC.

"I am proud to have voted to defend workers rights and environmental legislation (which is what this was all about if you followed it closely). It is always disappointing when working people cross over to the dark side, persuaded to support the arguments of the Daily Mail / Tories / Fat Cats but that is something you have to live with."

He was writing after weeks of silence following the extensive criticism of his decision to vote with his party and the Government in denying his constituents a referendum over europe.

You will note especially the first sentence of the quotation; the bit about the defence of worker's rights. All very Labour, cloth caps and whippets that, could have come straight out of the mouth of Marx himself.

Then, Lancashire Evening Telegraph, ran a story on our MP's call for the preservation of his favourite breed of ratter, commenting that the breed had strong associations with the Royal Family in the persons of King George V and the Princess Margaret, among others.

Those with keen eyes and an enquiring mind would naturally be curious to see what LET's readers had to say on the subject and so would read the comments beneath the online article. On doing so they would have found a reference to an online blog...

Da Steeps Speaks: Slave labour required

which, at some length details just how respectful of worker's rights Graham Jones MP actually is.

A fair day's work for a fair day's pay?

Not if you work for Graham Jones, the champion of worker's rights, it seems.

Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive

The word hypocrite springs to mind.......but then it is our fault( or so he says) we don't allow the MP's enough money for expenses.
Pull the other one Mr Jones....it plays Hey Big Spender.

Re: Hypocricy, Bluster and Spherical objects

And then, of course, having gotten himself into a hole, like all politicians, Graham cannot help but keep on digging...

Graham Jones MP: Parliamentary Interns. Right wing bloggers ask me to break the law?

I have had my say on our illustrious MP, so i wil not add to it.
Mainly because last time I received quite a bit of negative karma and some choice words from his blind followers.
He's more of a capitalist than I am, at least I would pay someone for working for me.

Re: Hypocricy, Bluster and Spherical objects

Can any of our left wing Graham lovers please explain how he can earn £65,536.00 per year plus expenses?
The average salary in Hyndburn is £22,292.40 per year plus NO expenses.

He earns almost 3 times as much as the very people he claims to represent....
Back to the trough again.....(no doubt I will get more hate Karma)

I note also that Graham is sorely in need of an editor for his blog, since he obviously does not recognise the difference between there and their, and to and too. Common failings perhaps, but not the sort you would expect in the public writings of a Member of Parliament.

Shabby explanation of shabby dealings expressed shabbily. For £65,536 per year plus pension and expenses I, and many of your constituents, expect a good deal better of you, Graham.

I would of said the average was more like £14,000, as you rarely see a job advertised for more than minimum wage.

Which is then four and a half times his salary.

:hesoff:

I would have said that mate, but according to the official sources it is £22,292.40...
Nice to know he is worth it.

I see looking at Graham's Bog, that he was in Jerusulam a few weeks ago, on parliamentary business of course....

I noted those glaring errors too, but refrained from mentioning them......just in case they were typos.

Who does he mean?

I'd hazard a guess, that applies to 95% of Accy Web members, who are now opposed to Graham Jones.

Forget the guff about the Daily Mail, if that gives him comfort, if the 'dark side' means no longer being able to support someone guilty of gross hypocrisy, and who puts his party's own political agenda, over the rights of his constituents, count me..

in!
