How should that have any bearing on how we behave and on how tolerant we are as a society? Personally I think a mosque makes an interesting addition to the skyline and the muslims I know are as decent as any other.

I don't understand what Saudi Arabia and their approach to managing their own society has to do with us.

i cant see them allowing a police station to be built as this would mean law and order been near blackburn road although i suppose if they prommmise to continue not enforcing the law in that area the plans may be approved

Obviously, unlike Barrie, you haven't been there, we live in a christian country, if you live in Saudi, try building a church there;)

Definately need a new police station, there are plenty of mosques, most definately dont need another. When was the last time we Christians built a new church in Accy? Point made I think.

I think it might have something to do with the demonstration of tolerance.
We are a tolerant society(in the main).
Muslims have come and settled here, adopted this country...they are allowed to practice their religion here. This is not a facility that is afforded to Christians in some muslim countries....I think that was the point being made.
As for Mosques being interesting and adding to the skyline.........well, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

They are also allowed to park where and when they like, ignore red traffic lights and only shop at M&S when there is a sale on.

Go to M&S in Blackburn between 4.30pm and 5.00pm, when all food on sell by date, gets a 50p sticker.

I kid you not. £5 and £6 meals, sandwiches and fruit for only 50p. This happens daily. It is a fight between the homeless, druggies and Muslims, as who can consume the most, without spending...:(

Sell by dates are to be discontinued, but 'use by' and 'best before' dates will stay.

'Use by' indicates goods are not fit to eat - do you think the scramble will still happen?

Tut tut, this was a simple question police station or mosque. Personally I would go for the police station, as for the mosk, plenty of room on mars.
