Re: Could Boris be the next Prime Minister?
I think Boris is the harmless, funny buffoon who relaxes you, disarms you, makes you feel there's no threat then strikes.
He intends people to underestimate him, that way it's easier to outmanoeuvre them. Who would ever have dreamed he could beat Ken Livingstone-twice? A fool and a Tory to boot beating Labour to become Mayor of leftist London? With over 1 million votes? Impossible. Don't underestimate him, he's one smart cooky. |
Re: Could Boris be the next Prime Minister?
He ain't smart...he's an ad mans dream
He's the iconic great English eccentric, he looks funny, he comes out with stuff that makes great headlines. The media love him and nurture him. He's cheered on by the media like he's a harmless winning upper class twit of the year in a python sketch Wiff-waff for crying out loud..who in their right mind would vote for this idiot... apart from the sun, daily mirror and daily mail readers... apart from BBC and ITV big fat gypsy wedding, the only way is essex and jeremy kyle viewers.. Even I can see him in the Sid James role in Carry on up the Khyber calmly having tiffin while the burpahs over-run the compound erm....wait.. |

We appear to be following the US ideal, whereby the majority of people are too idle to think and rely on the media to think for them. |

He is naturally witty, funny and stupid at times because he can be ridiculous but carries it off with a certain aplomb as everyone expects him to be eccentric. He is also highly intelligent, well-read/educated and well-informed -an out-right Tory but nonetheless likeable. I saw him in action as President of the Oxford Union between 85/86 and he was exactly as he is now at 21 years of age -a real character, bit of an old fuddy-duddy but on the ball and always on top of the debates with the great and good of the times. Romney at the Whitehouse would be exceedingly worrying, Boris would fit in fine at Number 10...:D |
