40 found alive in deadly Bangladesh building collapse - World - CBC News
Most definitely a "dead" industry:mad: This is the ugly side of manufacturing's chasing the cheapest labor costs. At least one major Canadian company, Loblaw's, headed by billionaire Galen Weston, has blood on its hands. Maybe if our governments could persuade workers to slave for a minimum wage of $38.00 per month in conditions ... well, you can read as well as I can ... then the UK, Canada, the US, and most "civilised" western states could eliminate unemployment:rolleyes: This whole ugly mess is something one could think about when shopping at places like Primark ... yes, they are in it too ... for deals on clothing. |
