Re: Accrington Pals/Peel house shambles
I worked with Dr Prout...she was a house officer on my ward....more years ago than I care to remember.
I take Ma to this practice and she always remembers me and has a chat with me. |

So its your fault, chatting to the Doctors and making the queues long :p |

My husband went to Pals with a dodgy knee.....his appointment was at 11.50, he didn't get in to see the doctor until 12.50. What kind of half assed appointment system is that then? And it isn't about caring, it is about money....practices are paid for their preventative medicine. |

It's all about balancing the resources Margaret.... accepted that they are not being managed properly. Maybe Mr P's knee was shunted down the queue to allow them treat a sick person? |
Re: Accrington Pals/Peel house shambles
Better off going to Africa if you have a bad knee, that is after all where the knee grows.

Maybe they don't see the bigger picture. Maybe they haven't any management skills themselves to be able to see when someone isn't doing a good job...maybe it is just too much trouble. There is no continuity of care at the practice....they rely on computer records and if the records have been badly put together then mistakes happen.Early this week the computers were down, and they were running around like headless chickens. |

A few years ago I went for an MRI. Got there on time first appointment of the day at 9am and was told I would have to wait for either 15 or 30 minutes while the machine warmed up. Why was the first appointment not 9.15 when the machine was ready or why don't the staff start at 8.45am and switch it on. Just typical NHS poor management we all expect. |
