Less, the problem (if it can be called that) with the application of common sense is.....it isn't common to have common sense!

The above example was only mentioned because of the sensational content i.e. feeding the child in a swimming bath.

Of course that is a stupid place to breast feed, just as free fall parachuting would also be an inappropriate position in which to perform the act but if it happened no doubt that too would make the news.

Breast feeding itself, nothing whatsoever wrong with it, only needs common sense, on the part of the mother and anyone witnessing it.
:)

What do ya want in a title a 10 page essay:D

Not quite breast feeding ... but close enough to be vaguely on topic:

Topless women march in Vancouver for gender equality - British Columbia - CBC News

Anything like this happening over that side of the pond?

The acceptability of breast feeding in public all depends on the quality of the breasts

My first reaction was "why would you expect anyone to want to eat their meal in a swimming pool?"
Someone else has already implied that people urinate in swimming pools. It'd be the last place I'd want to eat so why expect a baby to!? Screams of laziness to me more than anything.

As for breastfeeding in public, same applies. Would you be offended if I whipped out a bottle of formula in public? The obvious answer would be no, so I don't see why you can't breastfeed in public without people moaning. Or gawping for that matter.
