Did no one ever ask you for any input Retlaw ? Your obviously very knowledgable in this area. You would think people would ask the experts ?

There's a thread somewhere I suspect one of the 'respected' members of this committee made a post tearing a strip off AccyWebbers for not 'respecting' people that give their time for nowt.
Perhaps it's time she came back and respected us with an explanation of how well the job isn't going?
Retlaw did have a few things to say about this committee in that thread.
:)

Being respected doesn't automatically bestow knowledge of a particular subject! So, would you take your car to be repaired by this respected personage or would you go the garage? I know what I'd do.

Common sense dictates that if you want it done right, you speak to someone who knows what they're all about, not difficult really.

The problem is, once elected, common sense seems to disappear, along with ethics, morals etc....

Fortunately it's only a draft banner, and hopefully will be rectified after Retlaw's knowledgeable intervention.

A draft needs to be as accurate as possible, mistakes have a tendency of being repeated if a slapdash attitude is used from the outset of any project.

i saw on a newsagents board that its made the press

who wants to bet next week there will be a story of those who messed up seeking praise for correcting tehir own mistake lol

you know when officials say look how well we dealt with making this right instead of saying sorry we screwed up

I have to make an applogy about that banner, after seeing a clearer copy of the proposed banner only one of those group pictures are chorley coy. The group on the Left of the banner are Accringon Pals, the two Wixted bros, and one of their cousins are on it.

That's still inexcusable.

So you were still half right. And they were half wrong! Sloppy of the 'respected member'.

Half right or half wrong it was a mistake I made, I have over 1000 pictures in this computer relating to Accrington Pals and Greater Accrington Men & Women who served in WW1, I defy any one to keep track of them all just from memory. One other thing as my father used to say "him as clains he's never made a mistake has never done owt".

Re: ACCRINGTON's NEW BANNER

Rant over, supplied a new selection of pictures for the proposed banner, just been shown the new layout and all the group pictures on the banner are now of local Accrington Pals.
