I don't think that is exactly what Barrie said.
He didn't say Muslim education was crap....he said that it isn't how we know education.

We all know that you can lead a horse to water, but that doesn't mean the horse will drink.
Education is a lot like that. Those who need it the most want it the least.
And you also know that there are different kinds of education. Education can never be a 'one size fits all' solution.

It isn't religion that is to blame for the ills in the world. It is how men choose to interpret the tenets of their preferred religion.

Care to expand on the labour policy on dealing with the 'white underclass'..can't seem to find it in the current manifesto. Don't see any help coming from the labour controlled county council who are actually responsible for apportioning the funding to deal with the 'troubled families' and 'community action' that you claim is government responsibility either. They are too busy cutting services to those in need whilst blaming the government and increasing the number of people attending meetings and pushing paper to enforce these cuts.

In the interest of the equality act 2010 and the race relations act 2010..would you now care to describe the perpetrators of the despicable abuse of children in Rotherham as a 'black/coloured/muslim underclass'? Or would that be too detrimental to your vote next year?

By the way..apparently you've been doorstepping in the Heywood by-election...she seems to have more courage and honesty than you do about her position in our society

You will ignore the majority whilst using only your minority sycophants when attempting to prove a point
You will ignore the reason that you were employed to follow your own agenda
You will be able to fiddle gaily and stoke the fires whilst the Rome that your party forefathers built becomes an inferno
You will listen more to conservative employers than labour employees
You will have zero credibility with your grass root supporters

Unnecessary due to hoodwinking the voters into believing in you before letting them down badly and receiving a healthy taxpayer funded pension.

He had the stage. First question to the PM at Question time. An opportunity to highlight constituency problems. Local NHS issues perhaps? Concerns about the town centre? The massive cuts in Government grant perhaps?

No. A feeble, trying-to-be-clever, unfunny attempt at a put down to David Cameron over UKIP defections. No doubt goaded on by his new Islington metropolitan leftie intellectual friends, so typified by the appalling woman who had to resign for sneering at a house with England flags outside, and precisely why Ed Miliband is unelectable..

The Labour Party has lost touch with its traditional base. The Conservatives have shifted to the right. The Liberals are annihilated. It leaves a massive hole in the centre of British politics which UKIP are taking full advantage of.

If you want to talk about UKIP, Graham, start with answering that!

I always watch PMQs - Was all agog to see Hyndburn representative get to ask the first question. Couldn't believe my ears when he didn't ask a question pertinent to this area but chose instead to be a plant - Others may feel like replacing the last word with one of their own.

If he spent more time walking around Blackburn Road instead of Rochester, Heywood, the USA and various African jaunts, maybe he could speak with some kind of authority on the situation. Maybe, instead of banging on about how the government are failing, notwithstanding the fact that we have a Labour run council and a Labour run county council who hold the pursestrings, he should name and shame the sections of our community who openly flout road safety laws on a daily basis without consequence.

To put my own slant on his comments..I'm worried about the Labour councils attitude to safety. Why have they constantly ignored the issues on Blackburn Road. Since forever they have failed to deliver on parking, loading and highway code guidance.....

If a Labour council and County Council cannot deliver on traffic legislation..why on earth would anyone believe his hype that a Labour run government could do any different???

I only found out a few weeks ago at our Ward meeting that the Lancashire Constabulary don't police and enforce Traffic Regulations in our locality any more.

Here's what the Lancashire Police website says:

"Community Road Watch teams monitor and record driver behaviour so that action can then be taken. This might include warning letters or police visits to motorists and ultimately, prosecutions."

The link on their website doesn't work so I have no idea what my council tax money pays for.

We won't get anything from our MP, LCC or Local Councillors until after Christmas when the scramble for votes in next years election gets under way.
When my local councillors came calling and I asked about the flouting of parking and red light jumping I was informed that it was not the Local Council - either the Company contracted for maintaining parking etc. and LCC for Traffic Light cameras.
Who the hell looks after the interests of our electorate?

no one barrie they have as many departments as possible so they can all point fingers at each other which is more easy than actually doing anything about it and a lot cheaper.

if the council , local council or whatever has to do something it costs them money

if someone is killed or tehir car is dammaged it cost them nothing it costs the victim or the insurance companies

basically lucysgirl after the traffic wardens finish for the day NO ONE is enforcing traffic regualtions apart from the speeding ones.A very serious flaw in the hand over of teh job that has yet to be fixed many years later down the line but this is what happens when councils have ideas ( they go to **** pretty quickly)
