All well & good but did you read the small print? Any Life vests with those boats...I do hope not...some of these want to drown rather than return to France...not easy if you wear a bright orange float.

life vests are an optional extra unless weights are placed in them.

A would be illegal immigrant, a 16 yr old Sudanese boy washed up on the beach close to Sangatte camp in Calais.
Priti Patel has commented that it is a 'tragic loss'. it is something that happens when people try to circumvent the lawful process of immigration.....this boy did not get out of French waters so it really is none of our concern.
He should not have entered the water.....if he had not done, then he would be safe tonight.
France is a safe country...no persecution,no one trying to shoot him.

Well it is reported that he set off in a 'makeshift boat ' with a spade as a paddle...and he did not get very far.
He was a non swimmer(obviously).
