Spotted this in the Daily Mail today, "We used to laugh at comedians and listen to politicians. Now we listen to comedians and laugh at politicians.
(originally written by John Oliver,Englaish-American comedian).

Well, I agree with only the second part of that observation.

Re: Politics

I cannot agree with it at all.
I find the comedians of today as funny as a bad case of thrush.....and I cannot laugh at politicians either because what they are doing is definitely NOT funny....it borders on criminal negligence.
To be honest they could not organise a children's party.
I am utterly in despair with the current situation... I am sure that George Orwell quotes some salient words that would accurately represent things, but I cannot be bothered to look for them.

Re: Politics

How about...
Truth is treason in an empire of lies. George Orwell 1903-1950
Or maybe Joseph De Maistre.....Each country gets the government it deserves.
Thomas Jefferson also used this phrase.
So poor government is nothing new.

Have you checked to make sure they are not both the same gender?
If they are you are wasting your time....but creating a pleasant jangle.

Still got to be careful even if one has a queen and the other a king they will be closely related and breeding should be avoided.

Or is 'creating a pleasant jangle' code for such resultant offspring?
:cuddle:

No, Less...I had no thought of that as a euphemism for a 'bunk up'.....but it is a good one.

Re: Politics

Back to politicians again, it seems the "Maths magician" of the layabout party that is the abbotpotamus, has once more needed to go to the vets as shes' again caught a severe case of "foot in mouth".

https://www.express.co.uk/news/polit...party-latest-b

Her latest & racist faux pas has been called out only for her to deflect as usual, what is probably more distasteful to the piquant ms Abbott, is that the following release from the plod about the attackers of one blm (thugs & criminals) activist Sasha Johnson turned out to be ....... black! Now who'd of thunk it?

https://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/14...-police-invest

Once again labour highlighting their resounding qualities & reinforcing in the minds of the populace, their inability to be deemed as leadership material for the UK.
