Re: Personal Data.
[QUOTE=Margaret Pilkington;1272217]Miss Croston…our form teacher was one of our English teachers.
Ah yes, now I remember, I seem to recollect that she was straight out of Teacher training school, a very good looking young woman who stirred the loins of a lot of the young lads who had recently reached puberty, myself included.;);) |
Re: Personal Data.
Yes, you are right.
She was just out of teacher training college. I remember her being brought to tears by the antics of Patrick Varley and Roy Wallace. They were in their element in being bad lads for her…a baptism of fire. |

I think that they are both no longer with us, Maybe Cashy can help on that one, I seem to remember on an earlier post that he mentioned Pat Varley had died but whether he knew Roy Wallace, I don't Know. |
Re: Personal Data.
I have just spent ten minutes deselecting the cookies that Accyweb wants to place on my machine.
When you logged out from the previous server you would get a message that all cookies were cleared. There were well over a hundred vendors who wanted to place their cookies on my machine. |
Re: Personal Data.
Oh Marge, I do wish that I had Your Tech Knowledge, Even with the information that you kindly supplied as to allow, remove cookies, I can not get my head around it, I have found the box that says "settings>Privacy" but I cannot find the option that says "Allow local data". It seems that I am going to have to ask my daughter to help me out once more, (sad I know but there it is).

Re: Personal Data.
Taddy if I can do it then you can do it too.
But for now get your daughter to show you how…..if you have a smart phone record how she did it and watch it until you have got it. If you do not have a smart phone then you just have to get her to repeat the way she did it. Persist, do not give up. Winners are losers who never quit. |

I shall do my best, we will just have see how it goes. |
Re: Personal Data.
Yet again I have just had to opt out of those pesky requests for personal data.
That is unchecking more than one hundred toggles to prevent my computer having bits of info being put on my device. |
Re: Personal Data.
I still have not got the know how to attempt that Marge, I am very envious of your computer skills, I shall have to remember to ask my Daughter the next time she calls if she can sort it for me.

Re: Personal Data.
Taddy it is all learned by trial and error.
I used to yell for my daughter to help me out, but now she yells out for me….that must be something. I am eternally curious. |

So am I but with me being a male of the species I don't have the same patience that the Female's of the species possess, as Hazel (often), comments "Mick, slow down and think about things before acting on them", or some other (put down). Only jesting, I love it really. |
Re: Personal Data.

Re: Personal Data.
I am going to stay logged in because I am fed up of deselecting 117 toggles to dent access to my personal data.
I get this request every few days and I am fed up of doing this. The only way I can think I can save myself from this frustration is to stay logged in. So my button might be green, but it doesn’t mean I am here. |
