Re: Pornography.
Will agree with you there Willow. When i lived in England topless sunbathing was bordering on being lude.Since living on the European Continent i myself have come to accept things in a differrent light.Seems now i can talk about sexual things on a more open basis.Pornography i would expect is showing pictures or films of the actual act.Like everybody else i would that is ok so long as it is not put in a front window where all children could see it.Basically its there and adults know its there but it should not rear its head on a public thoroughfare

Re: Pornography.
I have noticed that people on the continent are more open as well - I know someone from Germany that is far more open than anyone from the UK about sex, including me, and I consider myself to be quite broad-minded!

Re: Pornography.
I think it basically boils down to the way you have been brought up and your surroundings. If its there and you see somthing or do something on a regular basis then you never question it.If however something is there that you do not see around you all the time then when you see it it seems strange

Re: Pornography.
'Pornography- explicit representation of sexual activity, visually or descriptively. to stimulate erotic rather than aesthetic feelings'-O.R.D.
Like Willow said, protecting children from this, and having an honest relationship with a parent[s] are two different matters. |
Re: Pornography.
I think i have been misunderstood here.I do believe its not only parents responsability to protect children from this but societys as well

Re: Pornography.
Sorry Mick, did understand that you meant that.

Re: Pornography.
Anyone who wants porn knows how/where to get it. There is no need for it to be on open display.
What a world, when it is perfectly okay to show a woman with bare breasts and her legs spread on a shelf in a newsagents, but breastfeeing in public is frowned on! |

Agreed about it not being on public display. A city the size of Glasgow doesn't allow it's inhabitants the choice to 'get it.' Councils around the country, usually because of religous intolerance, are using the already strict rules regarding licensed 'adult' shops to impose a zero tolerance thus denying people the choice the law states they should have. As for the point of breast feeding in public, again it shows what a silly society we live in when everyday Britains most popular newspaper shows breasts, yet some people object to something so natural thats gone on since Adam was a nipper. |
Re: Pornography.
I don't mind people breast feeding in public as long as it doesn't get in the way of me enjoying my dinner. I felt the same about the waitress in a cafe a litte while back when she was dangling her bare midriff over our table. I don't object to bellybuttons but I don't want one in my dinner.
As for Glasgow, denying people access to something when they legally should have access is not on. |

I always find the best discussions are religious. Crossroads!!! It is about time you bought a colour licence and watched a bit more TV :D |
Re: Pornography.
Sarcasm's all too easy to understand.
Adam/nipper/breast feeding/ teething wasn't sarcasm though. lt may not have been funny though, but it made me smile. Best discussions are religous? Go on then, l'm genuinely interested to hear your argument in regard to this thread. |
