999 text service
Call for East Lancashire residents to sign up to 999 texting (From Lancashire Telegraph)
People are being urged to sign up for a new 999 emergency text service. Sadly this wouldn't be very good for me, trying to text during a full blown asthma attack, takes me all my time to talk on the phone never mind messing never mind texting, I never have my mobile turned on anyway. I suppose it could be handy say for deaf people or people who are hard of hearing, yet most people in this category are elderly who don't have mobiles Last edited by jaysay; 03-04-2013 at 09:52. |

I know plenty of older people (even older than you
 ) who use text messages.
