Has always puzzled me how criminals get through passport control .. is it that they get away before their crimes are discovered ? Feel can't be that some of them have sophisticated links to identity forgerers, or sailing across the channel late at night in a fishing boat etc. ? Have I watched too many films.

Apparently one of those caught already has at least 10 aliases known to police, you would think they could catch one of them

they can live anywhere they choose, slong as they don't have to apply fer a visa, spain is just a popular choice. ya should be more annoyed at the numpties that let em ****** off in the first place kitty.

With the dramatic fall of sterling against the euro, those naughty Spanish villains might be planning to hitch a ride with the other boat people, soon to be seeking refuge on our shores.

We are all feeling the pinch in Spain thanks to the stupid statements of the Chairman of the BOE and other Ministers....and speculators dumping sterling in favour of the euro.
It would not be prudent to gloat about sterling because all foreign imports will become more expensive in the UK....That means virtually everything.
The simple answer....and I am sure many ex-pats have realised.
Invest in Spain.....Buy goods in the UK and sell in Spain....Currency issues to the back burner and don't need to hitch a ride from anyone.
Not too old to give advice...are we Garinda?

I'm not gloating.

I went to stay with friends in Gran Canaria four times last year.

My pension is unaffected by the current fluctuations, though I might now be tempted to visit other friends who live in the sun, and who don't have the euro.

Choces, choices.

It's a crime.
