How to get around Accrington Town Centre
Found this map @ http://www.hyndburnbc.gov.uk/Your_Co...s/Accy_Map.htm it really does a good job of showing how the traffic can get from one side of town to the other without stopping. Wouldn't it be better if they had used the time & money to create map entitled Accrington Town Centre, How To Get There, Where To Park & What Shops We Have For You To Visit?

when i used to drive for HBT (Hyndburn Brough Transport "buses") they "closed" Peel St to through traffic in 1984!!!! The changes that have been made in that area are not some of the best that have been done or thought about.

To be fair, I was having a look at the council's website the other day and there is one feature that is actually quite...well.... useful - waits for gasps of incredulity to subside and carries on- the feature was not developed by HBC, they just link to it, you can tell that because it actually works. It is an online journey planner. Very useful if you want to know what buses or trains to catch when you have had enough and want to get the hell out of here!
