Sony Ericsson free phone offer
If anyone receives an email from someone that says you can get a free phone by forwarding the message to lots of other people ignore it.
I got caught just now, and got this email from Sony Ericsson: Quote:

Ive had alsorts of freebie mailings but haven't been daft enough to click links as they say theres nothing for free or no such thing as a free lunch

I normally see through it.
The thing that got me though was the 'cc' to someone at Sony Ericsson, which made me think that perhaps there was something to it. My first thought though was 'yeah, right!'

CC to someone and asking it to be sent to everyone looks liek a crude attempt to mail bomb someone. I seem to recall a similar thing a few months ago but it wasn't Sony who were on the receiving end.

I would hope that Sony would have the infrastructure in place to sequester the email address somewhere so that it doesn't impact on their servers - I got a reply quite swiftly from a no-reply address
