Brandy then?

If you have enough whiskey though, you'll forget about the cold!!!

Bluddy 'ell, Staggers! That sounds a bit familiar... just like your high-octane fruit punch at the halloween party.
If I close my eyes, I can still remember the hangover. Woe is me! Woe... woe...

Red wine can hit the spot too.

I won some Rioja this week. Thought I might save it for Christmas.

Thumbs up Re: Tipples For Ailment!!!

If I'm suffering with aching bones and a custard nose, my favourite cure is a Yates's Blob, which is a concoction of Yates's Aussie White, hot water, sugar & lemon. Mmmm... baby. Delicious!

Poor Sparks......I think my husband has got what you have got.....just have a look at my journal... it tells all about it. I have given him the lemon drink, but alas no alcohol.....being ill should not be fun, and I don't want him to get the wrong idea!
Try a Menthol inhalation.....one crystal of Menthol in about aninch of boiling water in a jug (you put your nose where the spout is and breathe deeply until there is no more steam) It will get rid of the thick stuff that comes down your conk.

Oh I should have said..... you can get the menthol crystals from any good Chemist.
Oh and don't be tempted to put more crystals in the water or it will blow your brains out......and they will come down your nose too!

Re: Tipples For Ailment!!!

If you have that bloated heartburn sensation after a meal a small shot of Jaegermeister will do the trick. Keep the Jeagermeister in the freezer (it won't freeze) pour a small shot and sip it slowly. It looks and tastes a bit like Covonia bronchial balsam type stuff but it is superb for heartburn and settling your stomach. Far better than Rennie, gaviscon and ranitidine and it gets you ratted...
