Re: watch dog last night

It was only the electoral roll - been available to buy for years -and available for anyone to inspect at libraries and council offices for years.
Next time you get an electoral list form, just tick the privacy box, and you wont show on the list.

If you haven't ticked the box - just register with the mail preference service - the link is below. It stops all the junk mail falling through your letterbox and if your details have been sold on, you will be removed from their mailing lists.

Re: watch dog last night

If the councils are allowed to sell on your information to companies even if it is just passing it on throught to other government companies, who is to say these companies are not going to sell/pass on your info to anyone who wants it and without your consent or knowlege of it happening

You may be interested to know that charities do the same, donate to one with your details, and see how many junk mail letters you receive next month.
