The Simpsons have beaten Tom and Jerry to the title of the greatest cartoon ever.The Springfield family edged the cartoon classic into second place, topping the list of 100 shows.
South Park came third with Hollywood blockbusters Toy Story coming fourth. Another classic, Bugs Bunny, took 10th placing but other classics such as Popeye, Danger Mouse and Pinnochio found themselves being pushed further down the chart by more modern cartoons like The Incredibles (9th) and Finding Nemo (14). The characters of The Simpsons are named after Groening's family. They came about in 1986 when he was asked to create a few animated shorts for the Tracey Ullman Show. lndifferent to it, it neither makes me damp, or bristle. Nothing.
The only bit l like is Marge's voice because she used to play Brenda, in 70's New York show Rhoda.
