 Ordered a new blue re-cycling box and bags yesterday as when i moved into this flat i didnt have one and have been secretly dumping my waste in Debbie J's boxes !! (hehehe)  Guess whats just been dropped off ! :engsmil: |

as I've said on a previous post I rang them 2 days before the election and they came out the next day!! I wasn't being devious or I didn't time it well on purpose at all!!

This sort of speedy, efficient service should be the norm for any Council. Unfortunately it is rare for our Council. I can see no reason to offer salutations for this service, as this is what the service should be like. When HBC manage to provide this kind of service for everybody and the provision of that service is consistent, then they will have earned a salute...

When I rang the (lets get it right) Recycling Helpline. I was told that (at the time) we were going onto fortnightly collections and so I was a priority case. (I only wanted blue and white sacks). It was a surprise to me that it only took them three weeks and then in a Salford Van Hire van!!!

I asked for one when l moved into my new house exactly a year ago this week. l'm still waiting!
When l lived in Wandworth in the early 90's we got money knocked off our council tax if we took part in the voluntary scheme. This seemed extra good, as we were already paying the lowest council tax in the conuntry. One year all l paid was £14 for the whole year! Red Rindy looks back fondly on the years living in one of the Tory flag ship boroughs.
