Not for long Spuggie, Daniel Thwaites just applied for plannng permission for change of use re. the Great Eastern from Public House >> 2 Residential Flats. Perhaps you could apply for one to use on your visits to Accrington... :D

Have Joe and Wendy given it up then? Its the first I have heard of this and I am with Cashy on this. Why do the good pubs have to go I have had some good times in there it was a great pub for a few jars on a Saturday afternoon. Wonder why my dad didnt say owt about it closing I wonder as he is very pally with Joe?

Sad about the Eastern as well, good little Pub, we always had a good welcome from the customers when we came over, Joe is my Uncle & Godfather I don't know what their plans are?
