Deja vous. Seem to have been here many, many moons ago, when people didn't attend a certain meet, and were made to feel guilty about it later. That's not fair. :(

People will either turn up or not, and even if they say they hope be there, other commitments tend to get in the way.

Often the most spontaneous meets are best. Remember Roy trying to set fire to the Stag, lol! :D

A Christmas meet does not need to resemble a Christmas party in order to be a success.
An overcrowded room with loud music is not my idea of fun.
Being able to hold a conversation without shouting makes the whole excercise of meeting newbies and old friends more pleasant.

That was not a spontaneous meet it was the closing of the stag that was posted on site

It was spontaneous for me, didn't know about it till the night before, I think it was, (?) at the do, and hadn't seen it advertised, apologise for the error. :)
