Offer's still open to all you Oakhill Park district residents - get away from it all, come up the Stanley and see our new signings. No bhangra music, no chickpea curry, no ethnic facepainting. Come on, you know it makes sense!

Panic At The Mela!!! "Chaos broke out a the Mela today at Oakhill Park as children were frightened after having their faces painted. This was nothing to do with what was painted on their faces, but the fashion tips being handed out by a gentleman in flower power pyjama's. The children were so shocked at his tips that they were running around in shock. One parent when asked why it had started replied " The gentleman was giving advice on how to dress sixties style and this paniced my son as he belived he would have to dress like his great granfather did in those days. It was too much for him to bear and could need counciling to help him recover." The gentleman in question would only say that; " those were the best days there have ever been." He was last seen heading in the direction of a research centre after being sacked as a fashion advisor. |

"Psychedelic Outrage at public festival" An elderly resident of Accrington caused a major stir at this years Mela as he wandered round the local festival offering fashion advice to youngsters of various ethnic backgrounds. The said resident a Mr.Jaysay, of secured accommodation was seen to be wearing a flower power sleepy suit & when questioned about Afghan, he said "Today was rather warm so I left my coat at home !" One visitor, Mr Ali Akbar Achmed said, "We found it all rather bemusing as surely this gentleman is aware we prefer baggy pants & flowing gowns as our chosen attire & a rather fetching black potato sack effect for our wives ! Maybe if it was in black we would consider it". On being escorted back to his secure lodgings by two rather burly chaps in white coats, Mr Jaysay was heard to comment "These kids today, no idea of fashion, I was an icon in my day I'll have you know!" as he was bundled into the back of the waiting ambulance. There how about that ? reckon I'd be quite a good News Hack :D :D :D |
