I however while she was on gas and air and anything else she could use to ease the trauma, had to remain by her side taking this abuse, even if you went for a toilet break you could hear the swearing down the corridor and the look of disdain on the midwives faces because you were no longer by her side! You lot at least had something to ease your suffering and were out of your heads, us men had to face it completley sober and without artificial aids! I for one think the time has long past where we go back to the good old days of men no where near the labour ward and womens problems are not, never, discussed in front of men and children. You were willing to assume that position to conceive the child, so stop moaning about taking it up again to give birth to that wonderous bundle of joy! http://www.animationlibrary.com/Anim...holds_baby.gif |
Re: Placenta anyone??
I don't think I need to repeat myself, don't you just hate these double posts!

Re: Placenta anyone??
I was blooming all right, bloomin' sick from start to finish - spent the first three months ill, the next three months uncomfortable and then the last three months in hospital. There was possibly a day somewhere about five months in when I felt good!
And yes, I agree they should keep men out of the way because the last thing you want when you're in the delivery room is someone holding your hand and saying 'breath, breath' like it was something I could forget to do. If you want to imagine some of the pain that we go through cut a hole in your skin then put both your hands inside the hole and rip it wider apart and that might give you some idea of how much it hurts. As for drugs - they spend nine months telling you that drugs, coffee, pate are the worst things in the world for your unborn baby, then in the last few hours before it's born they let you pump everything and anything in to it. So not only do you have the pain to contend with but you have the guilt that you're drugging up an innocent child. But I'll tell you what Less, next time we meet we'll have a nice chat about all this because I have lots to say on this subject! |

As for your threat to chat on the subject we are doing that now and only because I hate you ladies trying to be the martyr, you are built for the job I am not, stop complaining, stop blaming us, get on with what you are here for and the world will be a better place. |
Re: Placenta anyone??
How would you know anything about nagging - you never listen!

or perhaps a well practiced, "yes luv' " would be more appropriate at this juncture! http://www.animationlibrary.com/Anim.../Boy_hides.gif |
Re: Placenta anyone??
Less......I think you have learned a very valuable lesson.......though perhaps a little late in life. Always smile and say 'Yes, love...you are right'....it saves a lot of argument and leaves more time for the thing that you men are built for - consuming ale!

Re: Placenta anyone??
That's peculiar - I could see that you were the last to post Less but I couldn't find the post. So I logged off, looked as a guest and could see the last post.
Typical MAN, not daring to say it to my face! |

Have you been wasting too many braincells thinking instead of just doing? Perhaps if you went for a lie down in a darkened womb? http://www.animationlibrary.com/Anim...s/Pregnant.gifSee we're nearly back on thread now, aren't I good! |
Re: Placenta anyone??
It's appeared now. It was really weird but I couldn't see your last post but when I logged off I could. I knew you'd posted because your name was the last postee.
Anyway, it's appeared now. |
Re: Placenta anyone??
....and now it's posted twice - suspect something very strange going on!

Give it to a chef and he can make a meal for all those involved in the birth. If Mr Cruise wants to try something out of the ordinary for some publicity then lets hop the vid of it hits the net. The thought of it wants to make me puke and thats on an empty stomach after reading it in the paper. Wonder what he plans for desert dirty nappies.

Re: Placenta anyone??
Well Katie Holmes has given birth to a little girl 'Suri'....so I wonder if Daddy has had the placenta for his tea....grilled, on toast with a splash of 'Daddies' brown sauce on.
|
Re: Placenta anyone??
Wonder what 'Suri' means?
