Re: Waccy Baccy in Accy

The announcement of the supposedly 'new law' yesterday is really ambiguous, thinking about this last night, as it did say that cannabis should not be taken in public. Does this include cannabis cafes then ???
To me a cafe is a public place, where I sometimes go for a well earned brew and eclair.  ;D

#Oh and alcohol abuse does not then.I do think that the general concensus would be that more alcohol is drunken in Accrington than joints are smoked. But on the alcohol the government make more money in taxes than on drugs even if they were legalised

I dont think Cannibis is smoked more now than in the 60s & 70s. Just think people are more open about it these days.
The youth of today do seem to think it was an invention of theres.

Re: Waccy Baccy in Accy

MIK, I do agree with you about alcohol abuse people do seem to find that acceptable,i drink but in moderation, the biggest money spinner in this country has to be smoking ( tobacco ). something that i have never been attracted to, without the taxes the goverment make on this bad habbit the country would collapse, i find the goverment to be very hypocrittical when it comes to smoking.

I thank you for yourr enlightment in to the Goverment of the country.
Janet you have a luvvly way of putting things and it was nice to hear your views.I am sure Cazzer will be enlightening us on all the statistics very soon.As ashe has done in all her other posts.

Answer to Reply 29 Harry X.Why is it rubbish to make up your own mind? Why should you not be allowed to do what you want within reason and not hurting or endangering anybody else?Seems to me some people only rate other peole if they are of the same opinion.
Is there a certain kind of ' inside club' forming on this forum?
As to the discussion about is it ok to take drugs.Well its illegal ok!Does that make it right or wrong?Looking at it from a personnel point of view, if it came to it i would like the option to make the descision myself.I'm with Jo on this one [smiley=joint.gif]

Theres no such thing as it doesnt effect other people... I dunno all them GCSEs and you need everything explaining.. Ever hear of the Chaos theory?

If you go all the way back to my original response you will see that I state.

The more people who use drugs.. the more widespread it becomes

The more widespread it becomes then the more chance of children getting hold of them..

Thats my opinion that you seem unable to allow me...Childish ramblings about inside clubs on this forum do nothing other than stir up trouble :(

The fact is I have an opinion.. If you don't like it then fair enough.. But please stop trying to tell me I ahve an ulterior motive...

I have children.. I don't like druggies.. and I cant spell....Live with it!

So why were you enquiring about Viagra on the black market. Is that not then illegal also?

So basically when i make an observation you do not like it.I do not recall saying anything about an ulterior motive.Misinterpretation there.Where did i mention along the line that ÝOU cannot spell?I just have the feeling that when somebodys opinion does not fit in with theirs well they get classed as TROUBLEMAKERS'
I can live with anybodys opinions but not when comments are made about my children.I leave yours out of it, please do not bring mine in to it.

Oh thank goodness the point got across in the end. Those were the words I was searching for back then "only I know what I was thinking, how could -Harry or anyone else know". That's what got me a little uptight, Harry, sorry, it was that you were trying to tell me what I think, what I interpret etc. and that wasn't really on. regarding the rest of the discussion, I think we have finished our debate, no hard feelings, we agree to disagree, as ASFC1951 says. I am happy however that someone realised what my point was though. I will sleep better tonight, thanks Mik for that!

Re: Waccy Baccy in Accy

thanks Anne, yeah how did we get on to this topic from the original one? Harry I love your opinions really I do, I just don't like being told that I'm not thinking wghat I am thinking, that is the opint from the beginning and was Mik's observation. END OF DISCUSSION, I really don't hink you will ever listen to the point I'm making, I am not referring to drugs or your opinion it was another point. You haven't got it, but it doesn't amtter, it reallys isn't that important.
ps. I'm gonna start a new topic cos some of the replies under this section have really got me contemplating something.....

He he he!!

I think that's it. It's the last word thing!! I keep responding cos you keep responding, although there's nothing more to say!! :D

I think we'll have to re-register with the name Jo + HarryX and write one final reply together, then we've both had the last word! Or I have another plan:
if you reply to this with the words "We have nothing more to say, signed HarryX and Jo", I promise I won't respond anymore!!! :-/ I'll let you decide how to end this.... :)

Try debating it with Harry then - that REALLY gives you a headache   ;D ;D

Sorry Harry I just HAD to throw that one in - think yer great really, but that itch just wouldn't stop aggravating. That's it, I'm through, I'm NOT posting under this title any more so nobody provoke me OK?????????  :D

Whats the cure then?

Jo 19-09-2003 14:12

Re: Waccy Baccy in Accy

The best cure is to get addicted to something other than this forum!! That's where the waccy baccy comes back into it - they're like antidotes each for the other!

Jo 19-09-2003 14:14

Re: Waccy Baccy in Accy

Damn and blast Tealeaf!! You made me respond again and I promised I wouldn't - OK let's say I won't respond to anything related to the debate Harry and I had. Afraid I can't do much better than that! I really am addicted now!

Tealeaf 19-09-2003 14:19

Re: Waccy Baccy in Accy

If you're addicted, have you seen a doctor? And there's all sorts of organisations that can help....Waccy Baccy Anonomous, Sally Army......

Jo 19-09-2003 14:33

Re: Waccy Baccy in Accy

It's this site I'm addicted to, not the waccy baccy. Not into that stuff, makes you sick. May start a help group "friends of forum freaks" or "Accyweb Addictions Anonymous" or something like that. anybody else in the same situation or is it just me? What about you senior posters? Surely you'd have trouble kicking the habit too??

Tealeaf 19-09-2003 14:40

Re: Waccy Baccy in Accy

Well maybe you should try the Wacky Baccy..it may serve as a cure....get the big reefer going, raise lots of smoke...then spend the next two hours wandering around the room high as a kite trying to find the keyboard!

Jo 19-09-2003 14:42

Re: Waccy Baccy in Accy

Can't comment on that, sorry, can't get into discussions on the rights and wrongs of waccy baccy, promised Harry. I'm a woman of my word! :D

Just been watching Sky News this morning. All about drugs. There has been a bumper harvest in Afghanistan this year on Opium. The reporter said that even the government agencies in America and Britain know of this. They do nothing about it though because the fields where all this stuff is grown is run by some of the warlords of afghanistan. They would like to keep on the right side of these warlords in exchange for information about Osama and his crew. Now they have planted fields of dope.how can the goverments of this world condone what is done in Afghanistan and then go on about destroying all the fields in Columbia.Surely they should all be burnt down???

Lesley 20-09-2003 15:36

Re: Waccy Baccy in Accy

Couldn't be bothered to read the whole 3 pages so apologies if this has already been posted. I have a police mate who told me when I used to live in Accy (back in the 80's) that drug use was over 30% of the population in Accy alone!!!!

Quote:

a driver is far safer drivin aving ad a smoke because a cannibis smoker is more aware of what it does
I must also disagree with this. My father used to own a factory which was being targeted for the acid house gigs that used to occur in the 90's. We stood guard with other unit owners and blocked the way for the party goers (yes boo hiss.......to us). All was quiet until about 1.30am when a swarm of people decended...those driving cars were totally incoherent...yes some may have been on the alci too but there is a difference in appearance when someone is high on drugs or just down right p1ssed. Many of these were high...and certainly not fit to drive.

We won in the end as the party got moved on but what an experience that was. I was even disgusted to read in the Accy Observer the following week that one of the reporters had gone along and even boastingly wrote about her experiences!

Re: Waccy Baccy in Accy

I have two son’s addicted to drugs so you can imagine I’m agents drugs, I’ve see at first hand how drugs take over some ones life and the up and downs they go through.
One is 30 and the other 25 they haven’t had a proper job since they left school and live where ever they can.
You hear form them when they won’t something. Help they say I’m in trouble, at first you help them but then the time comes when you have to say no you’re on your own, But they always say dad I'm on  treatment now and you know they are lying.
You must all remember you don’t know what your kids are up to; I didn’t till I was told one night in the pub that my son was taking drugs and he was on heroin.

Sorry to hear about that Vinnie. My sister lives in Burnley and is a crack head. Its her children i fear for. What could happen if they got hold of the stuff. Also they will be brought up thinking behaviour like that is normal.
Hope i never have to go through what you have to go through

Re: Waccy Baccy in Accy

each to their own. thats what i say. if people want to get stoned. drunk. or have a go on a crack pipe thats upto them. as long as it doesn't lead to antisocial behaviour or interfere with other peoples lives. let them get on with it.

and for the record i do not do drugs.
