THE RED CARPET

The red carpet has now been opened, the ceremony will start in 45 minutes. I’d like to welcome you all to the Accyweb Awards. Anyone can post on this thread at any time, it’s not official in any way, so feel free to chip in and create the mood of the night.

I think I can see the first guest coming down the red carpet…….… looking mighty fine I may add…………

The excitment outside is palpable, with the crowds growing ever noisier as we await the arrivals.

I can't wait to see what the people attending will be wearing this year.

I just have to nip home Gayle!! Ginger has washed my dress with the darks this morning!! and I feel all un comfortable and self concisions!!

Hopefully I will make it back with in 45 mins with something else to wear :(

The Duke of Burnleyshire is sporting a white scarf this year. His claret and blue must be in the wash, and it's nice to see he's a man not afraid to wear jewellery, which I believe was loaned to him for the evening by Tiffany.

My, Miss Rothwell scrubs up well, and it's lovely to see her out without her fake fur coat.

Will report back later if it's no fur coat and no knickers to boot, when she walks infront of the GMTV spotlights.

Well the hostess seems to have turned her back on her recent craze for vintage 60's couture, and has settled on the ever elegant black sheath, which I'm informed can't be purchased from the machine in the Gent's.

Her escort, well it's nice the star of those 50's Tarzan films is still kicking about. I believe Cheetah is now approaching his late eighties.

It’s on to the Best Hissy Fit award. I was almost considering adding a new option to the voting after last night’s thread but decided that that’s probably next year’s winner.

One of the amazing things about this site is how far it reaches, with contributors from Canada, America, Australia and all around the world. Even when you’re on a different time frame there’s still plenty of opportunity to talk. There are so many overseas contributors and it was a shame that some people got missed out but just to let you know everyone is grateful to you all for keeping in touch.

Special award

It's time for a special award. This hasn't been voted for but was secretly nominated which is why it's special.


This board has just become a ‘big board’ and that makes it special but it’s always been special to us. One of the things that makes it special is the way that the site was built up and grown. One of the contributors who was there from the beginning has gone beyond the call of duty and has helped keep the board special on line and more importantly off line.
