Just wait another 4 years, then it'll be our money that's being wasted. The London Olympics budget has already risen from the original sum of £2.4bn to £9.35bn...want to bet it won't rise even further with the likes of Harriet Harman at the helm? Still, never mind, we can afford it - after all, our economy's in such a healthy state at the moment.

I agree with you.

The Olympics is not in itself a sport. It is an event and as such, the event can be talked about in the “General Chat” folder.

But then as your opinion differs to that of some other members you are wrong, even if you are right, and they are right even if they are wrong.

one thing is certain, sport or no sport, if whinging was in the olympics you would win Gold.:rofl38::rofl38::rofl38:

I can get into enough trouble on my own, I don't need you to exaggerate!:D

It wouldn't have taken much to do a proper quote.

If folk are enjoying the Olympics good luck to them.

I accidentally put it on the other day and watched the archery, excuse me they had bows with pulley's and sites all artificially enhanced ways of being more accurate, (there wasn't 'owt like that at Agincourt) and yet they won't allow athletes that have used drugs that improve their performances to compete against each other.

Perhaps rather than ban people from competing because of their preference to reach a peak, we should have the 'free range', athletes, (no ,drugs etc.), and also the games for those that want to be the super athletes, we'd save a fortune in drug testing and lot's of embarrassment taking the medals away years later when the results come through.
