I'm more interested in knowing whats happened to Gayle , she seems to be AWOL, miss her 'sensible' common sense contributions to the site , probably busy over the holiday period ;) :D

But for those that have emigrated...................do you know that if they received the winter fuel benefit of being a pensioner before they emigrated then they are still entitled to it once they have emigrated. And our nice government change it into the sterling that is required as well. Apparently, once it is given it cannot be taken away!!!

I think it all depends how you have your pension etc paid, if it goes into an English bank and you don't tell work and pensions they will still pay it, but people wouldn't be so dishonest would they:rolleyes:
